A handbook for NGO Personnel entitled, ‘Effective Strategies for Tobacco Control Advocacy’, developed by HRIDAY is a compilation of relevant background information about the magnitude of the tobacco problem, the Indian tobacco control law enacted by the Government of India and the role NGOs can play in the field of tobacco control including planning, developing and executing effective advocacy campaigns.

Worksite Wellness: A resource kit for smoke-free workplaces
|
A toolkit has been prepared to assist the public and private sector workplaces to implement the smoke-free rules under the Indian tobacco control law. This toolkit briefly takes them through the law, the ill-effects of tobacco use, the benefits of smoke-free environment and many other important aspects related to making a workplace smoke-free. Besides it highlights a few successful interventions at workplaces on smoke-free policies.

This resource manual is to assist the implementation and enforcement of the Indian tobacco control laws and to act as a source of legal information on tobacco control. For the law to be effective it needs to be disseminated not only to the enforcement officials, but equally to the public, business establishments, and tobacco vendors as well. While the target audience for this manual is the law enforcers, this manual would also interest all who have a stake in tobacco control and public health.This manual has been revised and printed again with latest updates.
